Writing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. It was only natural to pursue a Bachelor's of Specialized Studies Degree (BSS) from Ohio University in Creative Writing, Literature, and Journalism. I write both fiction and non-fiction and have been published online and in print. Some of my most recent work has appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Here Comes the Bride edition, Budget Travel Magazine, Luna Station Quarterly, and The Emerald Coast Review.

What does all this have to do with Copywriting?
Well everything! Everyone loves a good story. To borrow a quote from copywriter Bob Sands, "Stories have been used to motivate, captivate, and communicate through the ages."
There are many similarities between writing fiction, nonfiction and writing marketing copy. One complements the other. Each has its own structure of course, but in general leads should immediately capture the readers interest, problems need to be presented and solved, and endings must be satisfying.
